Music at St Joseph’s NS
Music is a key and central part of life at St Joseph’s NS. We believe in providing our pupils with the best exposure to music, encouraging their creativity, self-expression, and love for the arts.
All pupils take part in choir sessions, where they have the opportunity to develop their vocal skills and learn about harmonies, rhythm, and performance. In addition, every pupil is exposed to a variety of musical instruments, helping them discover the joy of playing and appreciating different sounds.
Our school is also proud to have a dedicated School Orchestra, where pupils who play instruments come together to perform under the guidance of Coole Music. The orchestra performs at various school events throughout the year, and we are extremely proud of their achievements and performances.
In addition to these group activities, we also offer private music lessons after school. Pupils can take 1:1 lessons for violin, cello, keyboard, and piano, as well as group guitar lessons. These lessons provide pupils with the chance to develop their skills further and pursue their passion for music at their own pace.
Music is an integral part of our school culture, and we are dedicated to giving our pupils the opportunity to explore, create, and perform as they grow in their musical journeys.
