Cumann na MBunscol season has commenced!

Our boys football team braved the elements today at Clarinbridge GAA as they set off for the Mini 7's Football.

The boys played three group matches against the following schools:
Ballymana,Lough Cultra & Killeeneen NS.

There was great displays of football from all four teams in very wet conditions. Our toughest match throughout the group matches was against Lough Cultra but our lads dug deep to make it three wins from the three matches.

Next up was the final & our opponents were Clarinbridge NS.
This was was a match with end to end football, great passing & plenty of goals from both sides.
Half time score was 2-1 to 1-1 to Clarinbridge.

Team talk at half time & our lads regrouped for the second half. Three goals from Emmanuel at the beginning of the second half put us in a very strong position & our goalie Cadáin scored a wonder goal from his own goal kick out- a 'Bend it like Beckham moment'!

Final score 5-4 to 3-4 to Kinvara.

We have now reached the county final. (date to be confirmed)

Well done to all our players today:
Cadáin,Michael,Emmanuel,Zack,Patrick,Alex,
Noah,Adam, Diarmuid & Cathal.

Thanks to Mr. Gallagher & Mr. McDonagh for looking after the lads today & we are very grateful to John Mullane & Fiona Murphy for the lifts to the game today.

Thanks also to Timmie in Clarinbridge NS for organising the event.

Photo of the lads in wet conditions but happy spirits!
