At St. Joseph’s NS, we are proud to be part of the exciting and inspiring world of LEGO League! Through this initiative, our pupils have the opportunity to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in a fun, hands-on way using LEGO Spike kits and creative problem-solving.
Our school runs a popular after-school LEGO League Club, as well as a lunchtime LEGO Club that is open to all interested pupils. These clubs provide a space for children to design, build, and code their own LEGO creations, while working collaboratively in teams and developing critical thinking and digital skills.
As part of our LEGO League journey, we regularly take part in the First LEGO League competition – an international programme that challenges students to research a real-world problem, develop innovative solutions, and build and code a LEGO robot to complete a series of missions.
Participation in the LEGO League supports many areas of our school curriculum and promotes teamwork, creativity, and perseverance. Whether it’s designing a robot, coding a new feature, or presenting a project to judges, our pupils gain valuable experience that helps prepare them for the future – all while having a lot of fun!
LEGO League is a fantastic way for our school to celebrate learning through play, technology, and teamwork.
