Scratch National Competition

Congratulations to Maeve Galvin, 6th class and Ariel Gorman, 1st Class who were recently picked in the top 25 out of more than 1000 entries, to attend the Tech Week, Scratch National Finals which was held in Dublin Castle on the 30th April.

Maeve won her category 5th-6th Class Afterschool section with her project Fun Learning Game for Kids which is an e-learning game that teaches while you have fun. You can see Meave’s project here.
Ariel’s project was an animation of the book Oh The Places You will Go by Dr Seuss and you can see his work here.
Scratch is a programming language for children, and online community, where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations. (http://scratch.mit.edu/about/) Maeve and Ariel attend CoderDojo Kinvara which is held on most Saturdays from 4-6pm in the school. Open to everyone who would like to attend and play !!!
