June 2023-End of school year message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the school year draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your incredible cooperation and support throughout the year. Your involvement and dedication have been instrumental in creating a positive and enriching environment for our students at Saint Josephโs .
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the Board of Management for their unwavering commitment to the growth and development of our school. Their guidance and support have been invaluable in shaping our vision and ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere.
A special note of appreciation goes to our wonderful Parents Association. Your continued support has made a significant difference in enhancing the experiences of our pupils. From organising events such as the Communion Breakfast, Confirmation Party, and the end-of-year Graduation, to the successful uniform sale, your efforts have been truly commendable. Your dedication and involvement have truly made a positive impact on our school community.
I am delighted to share that our school will be expanding physically with the commencement of a new extension over the summer holidays. This expansion will provide our students with improved facilities and resources, further enhancing their learning journey.
Our students have achieved remarkable accomplishments in various fields throughout the year. From receiving the prestigious Dream Space Platinum Award from Microsoft to securing Science awards for seven consecutive years, their dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. Additionally, their achievements in County Hurling, Gaelic Football, and Camogie, along with the gold standard in the accelerated reading programme, are just a few examples of their outstanding efforts. The attitude and pride they exhibit in their school are truly remarkable, and I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.
None of this would have been possible without our exceptional and devoted teaching staff.ย They have once again maintained high qualities of teaching and learning. They have ensured that ourย pupils have received the best possible education and opportunities forย growth.
I would like to express my deep appreciation to Hilary, our secretary, for her tireless work behind the scenes, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. I would also like to thank our non-teaching staff for their unwavering devotion and care for our students. Their commitment to their roles and the well-being of our pupils is admirable.
A special acknowledgment goes to Rob, our caretaker, for his exceptional work throughout the year. His dedication to maintaining our school and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone is truly commendable.
In closing, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all of you once again. Your support, cooperation, and involvement have made this school year a memorable and successful one. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with such a supportive and engaged community.
Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable summer break, and I look forward to another fantastic year ahead.
With warm regards,
Dominicย Gallagher

The Minister thanks the school staff, pupils and parents for all the challenges that have been faced in Covid 19 times.
A great afternoon was had at the school and the pupils performed the Jerusalema Dance challenge for our visitors.
